A solemn convocation for the best graduates of the Donetsk National University of Economics and Trade named after Mikhail Tugan-Baranovsky will be held at the "Shakhtar Plaza" on July 4, at 11.00 A.M.

On Tuesday, July 2, Donetsk M. Brovun State Academic Music Drama Theatre held a solemn event “Graduate of the Year – 2019” dedicated to honour the best graduates of educational institutions of higher education of the Republic.

On Saturday, June 29, a significant event – a solemn ceremony of awarding state diplomas of the Russian Federation took place in the Donbass National Academy of Civil Engineering and Architecture. 27 graduates who completed training in Master’s educational programs in the field of study “Civil engineering” received them, as well as diplomas of their native University.

On June 29, M. Gorky Donetsk National Medical University held a solemn graduation ceremony for new specialists in General Medicine, Pediatrics, Dentology, Pharmacy, and Medical and Preventative Care. Three hundred thirty-eight graduates received diplomas of the Donetsk People’s Republic along with diplomas for higher professional medical education of the Russian Federation standard, among which there were 34 diplomas with honours.

On Wednesday, June 19, Mikhail Kushakov was presented to the staff of the Ministry of Education and Science and University rectors. Mikhail Kushakov was appointed the Minister of Education and Science by Decree of the Head of the Donetsk People’s Republic No. 189 of June 19, 2019.

The pupils of the folk studio of contemporary dance “Rodnichok” of Makeyevka Municipal Palace of Children’s and Youth Creativity named after V. G. Dzharty took part in the International Festival “Star Wave”, which was held in the Crimea from 18 to 25 June.

On Friday, June 21,  Denis Pushilin, the Head of the Donetsk People’s Republic met with Vladimir Antonov, Deputy Prime Minister, Eleonora Fedorenko, Adviser to the Head of the DPR on the Rights of the Child, and Mikhail Kushakov, Minister of Education and Science. The main point of the event was children’s health issues in the summer.

On Thursday, June 20, the Shakhtar Plaza complex saw a ceremonial presentation of Gold and Silver medals “For Special Achievements in Learning” to graduates of general educational organizations subordinated to the Ministry of Education and Science of the DPR and other ministries.

The Federal Education and Science Supervision Agency (Rosobrnadzor) issued a State Accreditation Certificate to the State Educational Institution of Higher Professional Education “Donbass National Academy of Construction and Architecture”.

On Wednesday, June 19, Mikhail Kushakov was presented to the staff of the Ministry of Education and Science and University rectors. Mikhail Kushakov was appointed the Minister of Education and Science by Decree of the Head of the Donetsk People’s Republic No. 189 of June 19, 2019.

Within the framework of the charity event “Children of Russia to Children of Donbass”, 145 children of the Donetsk People’s Republic, the welfare beneficiaries from Donetsk, Makeevka, Torez, Zhdanovka, Kirovskoye, Shakhtyorsk, Telmanovskiy and Amvrosievskiy districts had a rest in Snyegiri Health Complex of the Department of Presidential Affairs  of the Russian Federation.

An event of extraordinary importance took place in the Donetsk People’s Republic. One more university of our young state, Donbass National Academy of Civil Engineering and Architecture was accredited by the Federal Oversight Service for education and science, in accordance with article 92 of the Federal Law “On education in the Russian Federation” and the Regulation on state accreditation of educational activities, approved by the government of the Russian Federation.

On June 3, a unique exhibition of paintings “A Touching Palette of Feelings and Images” created by the deafblind artists was presented at the Donetsk Republican Palace of Children and Youth Creative Arts. The exposition of tactile paintings was first shown in our Republic on June 1 at the Donetsk State Academic Music and Drama Theater named after M. Brovun on Children’s Day, and its first audience was schoolchildren, their teachers, and numerous guests of the festival.

The authors’ community, which includes historians from Donetsk National University, specialists from Donetsk Republican Institute of Continuing Teachers’ Training, teachers from educational institutions of the Donetsk People’s Republic, has done a lot of work to create the first National History textbooks (module Regional Studies Through History) for 5–11 grade students in educational institutions of the DPR. The textbooks contain the richest material on the history of Donbass, which will give the opportunity for schoolchildren to study the history of their native land from antiquity to the present day, learn the historical truth and grow into patriots of their homeland.

Yevgeny Gorokhov, the Minister of Education and Science of the DPR, took part in the charity event “The Tree of Desires” that was held on May 23 on the initiative of the deputies of the DPR People’s Council and was timed to the International Children's Day.
