The honorary guests took part in the ceremony: Denis Pushilin, Head of the Donetsk People’s Republic; Mikhail Kushakov, Minister of Education and Science of the DPR; Olga Dolgoshapko, Minister of Health of the DPR; Artyom Kramarenko, Minister of Agricultural Policy and Food; Natalia Volkova, the DPR People’s Council deputy; Asya Gorshkova, Chairman of the DPR Education and Science Trade Union; heads of the city and district administrations, rectors of the universities of the Republic and other special guests.
Participants of the ceremony were 68 best graduates of 14 educational institutions of higher professional education of the DPR who took an active part in scientific activities, public work, sports, work of primary trade union organizations, showed an active civil position and received Diplomas with honours.
The Head of the Donetsk People’s Republic stressed that the development of the state and its further prosperity depends on the graduates. “You are our elite, and rightly so. You have earned the right to be called this way due to your hard work, active life position, high academic results and significant achievements – each in his or her own field.
Keep it up! Without exaggeration, you have unprecedented opportunities! We rely on the younger generation, and this is evident from the state youth policy, which we pay great attention to.
Your attitude to life, to the Motherland, to our common cause is very precious for the Republic. The future of Donbass, the development of our state and its prosperity lies with you.
I hope that all of you, our dear graduates, will succeed in any field and in all your endeavours. You had wonderful teachers and mentors who, undoubtedly, made a huge personal contribution to your development and were able to inspire the realization of your potential. Thank them very much for their work! I also want to thank your parents for their support that has been charging each of you for success all these years! Friends! Dream, dare, reach heights and dream again! And let you succeed!” Denis Pushilin wished the graduates.
The heroes of the occasion were congratulated by the Minister of Education and Science. “I am especially proud and happy to honour today the best graduates who have won this title due to their hard work, excellent education, active participation in scientific, social, and trade union life. From the bottom of my heart, I want to congratulate the graduates, parents and, of course, teachers who have done everything to make this holiday happen today!” said Mikhail Kushakov. The Minister also noted that the confirmation of the high level of education in the Donetsk People’s Republic was the state accreditation in the Russian Federation having been obtained by the leading universities. “We will continue this process. I think that next year the number of graduates with diplomas of the Russian Federation state sample will increase several times,” the Minister said.
That day good wishes and parting words were said by all the guests of honour of the ceremony. They wished the young specialists to become true professionals in the chosen field, to work for the benefit of the Donetsk People’s Republic and its citizens, to keep going, to improve constantly and to love their native land.
During the ceremony the diplomas were awarded and gifts were presented, many graduates received their employment books with the first record. “Together with our ministries and departments, we are doing our best to make our graduates get the first workplace after completing their studies at the University. I can say that almost 100% of medical university graduates get to work to the health care institutions. We have a great need for teachers. There is a need for certain engineering specialities. We will continue this work in the future”, the Minister of Education and Science said to the media.
