Supplementary Education for Children

The People’s Music and Drama Theatre for Children, named “O!”, of the Donetsk Republican Palace of Children and Youth Creativity (art directors – N.F. Kashchayeva, E.S. Kashchayeva) became the 1st award winner in nomination of “Drama Theatre” in the All-Russian competition-festival “His Majesty – Theatre!”

On November 20-24, the city of St. Petersburg of the Russian Federation hosted ceremonial events as part of the Suvorov Ensign contest. Aleksandr Suvorov State Memorial Museum organized a contest for the right to bear the Russian battalion banner of 1780, deposited in the museum, during the ceremony dedicated to the birthday of Generalissimo Aleksandr Suvorov. The event was held in order to promote the patriotic education of young citizens and the acquisition by the participants of the fundamentals of military training, as well as to disseminate historical knowledge.

A significant event took place in Donetsk on October 17 at school No. 56. Children together with adults laid the first Oakery in the DPR in memory of the first squad cosmonauts. It happened in a year when the whole world celebrates the 85th anniversary of the world’s first cosmonaut Yuri Gagarin. The action was held under the auspices of the Ministry of Education and Science of the DPR, as well as the Russian space society – with the help and assistance of its Donetsk branch. The event was organized by the institution of additional education “Donetsk Republican Ecological and Naturalistic Center”.

The pupils of the folk studio of contemporary dance “Rodnichok” of Makeyevka Municipal Palace of Children’s and Youth Creativity named after V. G. Dzharty took part in the International Festival “Star Wave”, which was held in the Crimea from 18 to 25 June.

Within the framework of the charity event “Children of Russia to Children of Donbass”, 145 children of the Donetsk People’s Republic, the welfare beneficiaries from Donetsk, Makeevka, Torez, Zhdanovka, Kirovskoye, Shakhtyorsk, Telmanovskiy and Amvrosievskiy districts had a rest in Snyegiri Health Complex of the Department of Presidential Affairs  of the Russian Federation.

On Tuesday, May 21, representatives of INTELROST Center for Intellectual and Creative Growth (St. Petersburg) visited Donetsk. The Russian guests arrived to donate moral-oriented movie lessons developed within the All-Russian project Movie Lessons in Russian Schools to the educational organizations of the Donetsk People’s Republic.

On March 26, the First Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Education and Science, Chairman of the Coordinating Council of the Movement “Let us do it together!” Gennady Onishchenko made a working visit to the Donetsk People's Republic, namely: Donetsk boarding school №1. There was held a model lesson within the framework of the all-Russian campaign “Healthy food is active longevity”. The DPR Minister of Education and Science Evgeny Gorokhov, first Deputy Minister of Education and Science Mikhail Kushakov, Deputy Minister of Education and Science Andrey Udovenko took part in the event.

The XVth anniversary of the Baltic Science and Engineering Competition was held in the city of St. Petersburg, the Russian Federation, from the 4th to the 7th of February.

From January 18 to January 30 І stage of the Republican research works presentation contest of pupils - members of Small Academy of Sciences took place in Yenakiyevo.

From 10 to 13 November open regional competitions on sports modeling of knitting aircraft were held in the village of Pokrovskoye (Neklinovsky rayon, Rostov region, Russia). The contest was attended by more than 100 participants, which included 10 teams from the Rostov region and the Donetsk People's Republic.
