On Wednesday, April 19, in Donetsk national technical university there has taken place the first meeting of educational and methodical association of disciplines of the humanities and social sciences of higher education where there were a Minister of Education and Science Larisa Polyakova, the rector of DonNTU Konstantin Marenich, the head of the department of sociology and political science of DonNTU Nikolay Ragozin.

On Friday, April 14, the regular meeting of Council for science of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Donetsk People's Republic took place.

From April 10 to April 12 preschool teachers of the Republic participated in the annual regional competition "Year's Podmoskovye Tutor — 2017". The trip was organized by the Ministry of Education and Science of the DPR by the invitation of the Ministry of Education of Moscow region.

On April 12 pupils of Republican versatile lyceum boarding school at DonNU visited Military Hall of Fame of veterans of Afghan war  in municipal educational institution "Donetsk School No. 101".

On Tuesday, April 11, in the settlement Red Partizan of Yasinovataya administration solemnly opened the restored preschool educational institution nursery garden No 2 "Yablonka" which had been damaged due to AFU shelling.

The total dictation held on April 8 drew huge attention both citizens of the Donetsk People's Republic and inhabitants of the territory of Donbass which is temporarily under control of Ukraine.

On Monday, April 10, in the Ministry of Education and Science of the Donetsk People's Republic there has been the Round table "The humanitarian program for reunification of the people of Donbass: problems and prospects" where the Head of State Alexander Zakharchenko, heads of profile ministries and departments, experts in topical issues of realization of humanitarian program.

In April, 2017 the newspaper of Donetsk national technical university which had laid the foundation for the large-circulation press in Donbass, was 95 years old. All history of higher education institution is reflected on its pages. A lot of things have changed for years of existence of the newspaper.

On April 8 more than 2000 residents of the Donetsk People's Republic participated in the annual World action - the Total dictation. Voluntary of literacy test was carried out on 22 educational sites. The Minister of Education and Science of the DPR Larisa Polyakova participated in the action, having written a dictation on the central site of the Total dictation - at the Donetsk national university.

On April 8 at 14:00 the Total dictation took place in the DPR.

The Ministry of Education and Science of the Donetsk People's Republic, seeking to increase attention to scale and consequences of accidents and diseases connected with work, considers labor protection as one of priority issues and supports the actions referred on its strengthening at all levels.

The Donetsk Republican Center national team of technical creativity took part in the Open Championship of the Rostov region in aeromodelling, Rostov-on-Don (Russian Federation).

Today, on April 3, the joint working meeting on training of persons looking for a job took place in the Ministry of Education and Science. The First Deputy Minister of Education and Science Mikhail Kushakov, director of Republican job center Tamara Kozenko, director of the department of the social and labor relations of the Ministry of Labour and Social Policy Natalya Kotova, representatives the Ministry of Education and Science participated in the meeting.

On April 3 "Legend Teacher Victor Shatalov" exhibition began work at Donetsk republican institute of additional pedagogical education within the Republican Shatalovsky pedagogical readings initiated by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Donetsk People's Republic.

Today, on March 31, the rewarding ceremony of the I city youth competition "Hope of the City" winners was held in Shakhtyorsk.
