The First Deputy Minister of Education and Science Mikhail Kushakov handed awards to the winner and prize winners in the nomination "Intellectual potential". The pupil of Shakhtyorsk gymnasium Kirill Velma became the winner, diplomas of winners are awarded the student of Shakhtyorsk technical school of cinema and television named after A. A. Khanzhonkov Dmitry Korotky and the student of CSH No. 22 Alexey Donets. These children are winners of prestigious contests, Academic Olympics, tournaments.
"Dear friends! Shakhtyorsk is famous not only for work achievements and dynasties. It is also a youth, students’ city where all conditions are created in order for children to study and develop. Today I am very pleasant to fete the winner of the competition in such important nomination as "Intellectual potential". I think, he won't be satisfied with what he has already achieved and he will win all new victories for the benefit of the hometown and Donetsk People's Republic", - Mikhail Kushakov stated.
Besides this nomination, in the competition organized by the city administration the following nominations were provided: "Manager of year", "Expert", "Stars of culture and art", "Gold pen", "My height", "Way of strong in spirit", "Law is higher than ranks", "To remember, it means to do", "Future of agriculture", "Glorious Miners work". The residents aged from 16 up to 35 years took part in the competition. In the nomination "Best Mentor of Younger Generation" some teachers were also awarded.
Other guests of honor also participated in the award ceremony: Minister of Labour and Social Policy Larisa Tolstykina, Minister of Youth, Sport and Tourism Mikhail Mishin and his deputy Alexey Yarosh, Head of the city administration Alexey Shvydky, principals of the organizations and enterprises of the city.
Rewarding was followed by the choreographic compositions reflecting the nature of this or that nomination. The winners were awarded by diplomas and figurines – competition characters.
Besides, the guests with interest got acquainted with the exhibition of pieces of work provided by educational institutions of the city.
