The Rector of Gorlovka Institute for Foreign Languages Svetlana Kochetova and the Vice-rector for Research and Education Galina Vasilyeva signed an agreement for cultural, educational, scientific and methodological cooperation with Smolensk State University during their visit. The Rector of Smolensk State University Mikhail Artyomenkov noted that the faculties of the educational institutions are united by their close educational and scientific interests, which can result in effective partnership between the university and the institute.
On December 26, the Donbas National Academy of Civil Engineering and Architecture (DonNACEA) hosted the ceremonial presentation of Russian diplomas to graduate-masters of 2018, who successfully passed the final certification at the Don State Technical University of the Russian Federation (DSTU).

Today, on November 26, the Ministry of Education and Science of the Donetsk People's Republic held an extended meeting of the Council of Rectors of the DPR universities, dedicated to the integration of DPR universities into the scientific and educational space of the Russian Federation.
On Wednesday, June 6, the II International scientific and practical conference "Ways of Increase in Efficiency of Administrative Activity of Public Authorities in the context of Social and Economic Development of Territories" started in Donetsk academy of management and public service under the Head of the Donetsk People's Republic.
On May 4, the meeting of the International round table devoted to the Victory Day on the subject: "Right and sense of justice during armed conflicts" took place in the Military History Museum of the Great Patriotic War.

On April 19 the II International construction forum "Construction and Architecture" opened in Donbass National Academy of Construction and Architecture. The Ministry of Education and Science of the DPR, the Ministry of Construction, Housing and Utilities of the Donetsk People's Republic, Public Educational Institution of Higher Professional Training Donbass National Academy of Construction and Architecture were organizers of the forum.
