The roundtable discussion “75 Years of the Great Victory: Historical Memory and the Policy of Neglecting” was held on March 3 at the Gorlovka Institute for Foreign Languages. The event was attended by the representatives of Gorlovka city administration, the Ministry of Education and Science, the Ministry of Youth, Sports and Tourism of the Donetsk People’s Republic, as well as the delegation of the All-Russian Public Youth Patriotic Organization “Naslediye” headed by the chairman Vitaly Sheremetyev. The guests of the roundtable discussion were the representatives of the regional offices of this organization from Nizhny Novgorod, Kaluga, and Cheboksary.
On Wednesday, March 4, the cooperation Agreement between DonNUET and Kostroma State University was signed at the Donetsk National University of Economics and Trade named after M. Tugan-Baranovskii.
Professor of the High School of Journalism and Mass Communications of St. Petersburg State University, editor-in-chief of Cultural Petersburg weekly, Doctor of Philology, Sergey Ilchenko holds a number of lectures, seminars, master classes and special courses at Donetsk National University from February 26 to March 1. The event is supported by the Russian Center.
A round-table discussion “summing up the advanced training of the teachers of the Gorlovka Institute of Foreign Languages in 2019” was held on Wednesday, January 15, at the Gorlovka Institute of Foreign Languages. The Minister of Education and Science of the Donetsk People’s Republic, Mikhail Kushakov, took part in its work.
On Sunday, December 15, Gorlovka Institute of Foreign Languages held the closing ceremony of the second International Forum “Volunteer of the Republic–2019”. This important event, which took place in the year of the 70th anniversary of the institute, brought together active, talented, caring young people from Donetsk, Enakievo, Kirovskoye, Makeyevka, Debaltsevo, Lugansk, Yaroslavl, Astrakhan, Nizhny Novgorod and other cities of the Donetsk and Lugansk People's Republics as well as of the Russian Federation. These people actively participated in the work of platforms and sections devoted to relevant topics of volunteerism.
Donetsk National University hosted a plenary session as a part of the II International Forum “Russian world and Donbass: from cooperation to integration of education, science, innovation and culture”. The forum is supported by the Russian Center and the Russkiy Mir Foundation.
On Tuesday, October 15, Gorlovka Concert Hall “Stirol” hosted a solemn event dedicated to the 70th anniversary of Gorlovka Institute for Foreign Languages (GIFL). This significant day gathered many people united by a sense of deep respect for Alma Mater, one of the oldest higher educational institutions in Donbass.
On October 3-4, the International Research-to-Practice Conference Effective Structures, Materials and Construction Technologies was held at Lipetsk State Technical University (LSTU). The scientific forum was organized by the Engineering and Construction Department of LSTU under the guidance of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation and the Russian Academy of Architecture and Construction Sciences (RAACS).
On September 27, the 6th All-Russian Conference of Young Scientists “Science and Innovation of the XXI Century” was held at the budgetary institution of higher education of the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug – Ugra “Surgut State University” in the city of Surgut of the Russian Federation. The participant in this conference was Yulia Mishina, the teacher of the Department of Foreign Economic Activities Management of Donetsk Academy of Management and Public Service at the Head of the DPR.
On Thursday, July 4, the rectors of the educational institutions of higher professional education of the Donetsk People’s Republic met at the Donetsk National University. The meeting was attended by Vladimir Antonov, the Deputy Prime Minister of the Donetsk People’s Republic; Mikhail Kushakov, the Minister of Education and Science; Viktor Varyukhin, the Deputy Minister of Education and Science and Natalia Volkova, the Chairman of the People’s Council Committee for Education, Science and Culture.
