Today, on December 27, this year’s last meeting of Council of rectors of the educational organizations of higher education took place in the Donetsk national technical university.

The First Deputy Minister of Education and Science of the Donetsk People's Republic Mikhail Kushakov took part in work of Council of rectors.

On the threshold of the New Year various festive programs for children of the Donetsk People's Republic are taking place: morning performances, games, competitions with favourite fantastic heroes at a New Year tree, concerts, festivals, exhibitions.

In our Republic special attention is paid to children and adults whose possibilities in the training plan and social adaptation are limited by their health features . Now in the city of Uglegorsk of the DPR the building of boarding school, which activities were suspended because of the fighting happening in this territory, has been rebuilt.

Yesterday, on December 25, 2016, over the Black Sea a Tu-154 plane crashed. This terrible tragedy claimed tens of the outstanding lives. We express our deepest and sincerest condolences to the families of the dead in this terrifying accident. Today all our thoughts and prayers are with you, with all people of Russia.

Today, on December 23, the meeting of Accreditation board which was opened by the Minister of Education and Science Larisa Polyakova took place in the Ministry of Education and Science of the Donetsk People's Republic.

In 2016 pupils of Republican lyceum boarding school with the strengthened military physical training named after Georgy Beregovoy got to know cadets of the I Moscow military school by electronic means.

On December 22 a workshop of Head of department of trade Sergey Tretyakov with managers of the issuing departments of University took place under performance of an agreement about cooperation between State Educational Institution of Higher Professional Training "Mikhail Tugan-Baranovsky Donetsk national university of economy and trade" and the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Donetsk People's Republic based on DonNUET.

On the threshold of New Year the action "Thanks, Novorossiya Soldier!" in Thorez was carried out. Thorez general education organizations students decided to write congratulatory letters with wishes and New Year's drawings for defenders of Donbass.

On December 21 in Gorlovka technical school of DonNU the scientific-theoretical student's conference "Region Economy Trough Youth's Eyes" took place.

Today, on December 22, the Minister of Education and Science Larisa Polyakova carried out personal reception of citizens in Starobeshevsky district within the framework of SM (Social Movement) "Donetsk Republic".

On December 18 by invitation of Yana Poplavskaya charity foundation  and with assistance of Gorlovka administration а group of children went to a New Year's Eve travel to Moscow.

On December 22 the regular meeting of Council for science of MON DPR which was held by the Minister of Education and Science Larisa Polyakova took place.

On December 21 the 3rd academic building of the Donetsk national technical university became the platform for the New Year's student's ball. Student activists and trade-union committee of students of DONNTU organized the holiday. Under sounds of the well-known waltz by Georgy Sviridov festively dressed young men and girls were poussetting, having revived a long-term tradition of holding balls of Donetsk polytechnic students.

The Ministry of Education and Science of the Donetsk People's Republic in cooperation with the Ministry of Health, in coordination with Department of domestic and foreign policy of Administration of the Head of the DPR has made the decision on conversion of students into part-time form of education (DPR MES order from 12/19/2016 No. 63).

Today, on December 21, on a facade of the 5th educational building of the Donetsk national technical university where the Physical and Мetallurgical faculty is located, the memorial board in honor of Vasily Sorokin was solemnly open.
