The forum was held from December 13 to 15 on the basis of the State Educational Institution of Higher Professional Education “Gorlovka Institute of Foreign Languages” with the assistance of the Ministry of Education and Science, the Ministry of Youth, Sports and Tourism of the DPR, the administration of Gorlovka, the Russian Center and the Public Organization “The Young Republic”. More than ten experts participated in the educational and interactive modules, including representatives of government bodies, leaders of public organizations, and leaders of volunteer movements.
The closing ceremony of the forum began with a bright choreographic show prepared by the members of the pedagogical detachment of the GIFL “Navigators of Childhood”. The Rector of the Institute, Svetlana Kochetova, welcomed the meeting and expressed her gratitude to everyone who supported such an important and necessary initiative. “Our Forum has become a platform where volunteers gained new acquaintances with interesting people, invaluable communication experience and unforgettable impressions,” she said.
A special part of the forum concluding program was the rewarding of experts, volunteer projects and the forum partners with certificates of acknowledgement. There were also awarded volunteers who had participated in the Internet campaign “Time for Real Deeds”.
Svetlana Kochetova expressed her gratitude and granted certificates of acknowledgement to the honorary guests of the event: the Deputy Head of the Gorlovka City Administration Alexei Ivakhnenko, the Head of the Public Organization “The Young Republic” Kirill Makarov, as well as the heads of educational units and the speakers of the educational platforms of the forum for their contribution to the development of the volunteer movement in the Donetsk People's Republic. Finally, the participants and guests of the forum saw the video report of the “Volunteer of the Republic–2019”.
Very young residents of Gorlovka were also recognized at the closing ceremony of the forum. Thus, the teams of students “Young Volunteers” and “Prometheus” of Gorlovka School No. 53 with in-depth study of individual subjects were awarded for their innovative approaches and creativity. There was expressed gratitude to the children for participating in the move #Congratulate_Volunteer dedicated to the International Volunteer Day.
