The Representatives of the Donetsk People’s Republic Took Part in the XV Baltic Science and Engineering Competition

The XVth anniversary of the Baltic Science and Engineering Competition was held in the city of St. Petersburg, the Russian Federation, from the 4th to the 7th of February.

This is the largest scientific event for young researchers and engineers from different regions of Russia and neighbouring countries.

The participants of the final stage from the DPR were the winners of the Republican Exhibition-Competition of Scientific and Technical Creativity of students “NTTM MAN”: Sofia Kashchenko, Yelizaveta Hayarova, Danil Nesteruk, Aleksandr Lyashko, Yegor Bayrachnyi, Igor Zakharchenko, Ilya Veretennikov.

As part of the competition, students from the Donetsk People’s Republic had the opportunity to attend lectures, presentations and master classes from Russian scientists and Russian companies: “SPbPU Chemical Show”; public communication master class; “The strategy of choosing a profession, specialty, university and USE subjects”; “Engineer career. The future is here”.

The head of the delegation – the methodologist of the Additional Education Institution “Donetsk Republican Junior Academy of Sciences of Young Students” – Svetlana Syromyatnikova took part in the Strategic Session “The interaction of companies and youth research groups. The situation in St. Petersburg and the regions”, where she shared her experience in organizing students’ project and research activities.

Participation in the event of such level is useful for young researchers and engineers. They have the opportunity to gain invaluable experience and expand their scientific outlook, and adequately represent themselves and the Donetsk People’s Republic at the international level.

Sofia Kashchenko was awarded the 3rd Degree Diploma and the Special Prize in physiology and medicine for the presentation of the work “The influence of external factors on dreams of adolescents of the Donetsk People’s Republic”.

Aleksandr Lyashko presented his research “Balancing robot” in robotics. He was awarded the Special Prize of the Baltic Science and Engineering Competition Organizing Committee.

Danil Nesteruk presented his research in engineering “Electronic device for blind people to facilitate orientation” and was rewarded with the Special Prize from the sponsors of the Baltic Science and Engineering Competition.

It’s important to state that the Russian Center contributed to the participation of the DPR delegation in the Competition.
