On Tuesday, May 30, graduates of the general education organizations within the State Final Examination take examination in Russian which is an obligatory subject of the secondary general education educational programs.

On Saturday, May 27, the Deputy Minister of Science and Education of the Donetsk People's Republic Irina Simonova took part in the holiday of "Farewell Bell" which took place in Komsomol comprehensive school of I-III steps No.1 of Starobeshevsky district administration.

On Saturday, May 13, in Donetsk took place the all-republican PTA meeting for parents of students 9th, 11th forms.

On April 12 pupils of Republican versatile lyceum boarding school at DonNU visited Military Hall of Fame of veterans of Afghan war  in municipal educational institution "Donetsk School No. 101".

On March 21 in Thorez the conference devoted to implementation of the project "Memorial book: war through children's eyes" took place on the basis of the Palace of children's and youthful creativity "Youth"   where all general education organizations of the city took part.

This January school students of the Donetsk People's Republic participated in the International contest of research works of the ecological movement "Sholokhov Spring" for children and young people. The competition was devoted to the Year of ecology in Russia, the competition subject was "Ecology around us". The initiator and organizer of the event is the State Mikhail Sholokhov Museum-Reserve in Rostov region of the Russian Federation.

Pursuant to Minutes of joint sitting of organizing committee and jury of the final stage of the Republican Academic Olympics of the Donetsk People's Republic general education organizations students results are summed up and lists of winners and prize-winners of the final stage of the Donetsk People's Republic general education organizations Republican Academic Olympics students in 2016-2017 academic year in Biology, History, French and German are approved.

On February 28 the presentation of the school "Memorial Book" took place in Makeevka lyceum No. 1 "Leader". Pupils of the Makeevka lyceum No. 1 "Leader" expressed their experiences and reflections concerning the events on Donbass in drawings, poems, stories and collected in a particular chronicle of our days - "Memorial Book".

Their visit has coincided with significant for host events – the 300 anniversary of the Astrakhan Province and the 200 anniversary of foundation of the Astrakhan Cossack Army.

Following the  Republican Russian Olympics final stage results of the Donetsk People's Republic   winners and prize-winners will be released from taking the State Final Examination according to programs of the main general education (9th form) and the secondary general education (11th form) on the corresponding subject.
