Same days spent by representatives of lyceum in the Astrakhan region were very eventful: acquaintance to the way of life, training and education system features, traditions of the Astrakhan Cossack Cadet corps, participation in the consecration ceremony of a cross and the place for construction of the Don icon of the Mother of God church in the territory of the corps, a meeting with the governor of the Astrakhan region Alexander Zhilkin.

The Astrakhan Cossack Cadet corps named after the ataman I. A. Biryukov is a new educational institution, was founded at the initiative of the Astrakhan Cossacks in 2013; children from 5-th to 11-th form study here. One of indispensable conditions of enrolling in the corps is being orthodox.

A big excursion program for historical places of Astrakhan was prepared for Donetsk residents. During the short visit they managed to visit the Astrakhan Kremlin, Museum of Military Glory, museum of local lore. Everywhere guests from Donetsk were accompanied by representatives of the Astrakhan Cossacks, in breaks between excursions telling about their traditions, affairs and plans.
