The republican stage of the competition was carried out by Donetsk Republican ecology-naturalistic center, and in March the results of the International (abcentia) competition were summed up.

This year the record number of children's works – 126 of twenty five regions of Russia, Kazakhstan, Belarus, Moldova, Abkhazia, the Donetsk and Lugansk People's Republics - were submitted for consideration of the jury.

Organizers of the event marked growing interest in a competition which was shown in expansion of geography of participants, in quantity and quality of the sent works. School students reflected in their researches biological diversity of the native land, especially protected natural territories, ecological initiatives of such domestic classics as L. Tolstoy, A. Chekhov, A. Sholokhov and others, offered the solutions of environmental problems.

The jury chose winners and prize-winners of the contest. Solemn rewarding will take place on April 26 during the I round of the XVIII meeting of the movement "Sholokhov Spring".

In the nomination "Experience of Student's Biological Researches"   the student of municipal educational institution "School No. 26 of Donetsk" Anastasia Shulgina took the honourable II place, the subject of her work is "Studying of influence of some herbs on development of larvae of the Colorado beetle (Leptinotarsa decemlineata) in various kinds of potatoes".
