Acting Deputy Minister of Education and Science of the Donetsk People's Republic Lidiya Gavrilova, Deputy Minister of Emergency Situations of the DPR Dmitry Zakharov, vocational education sector manager of the Ministry of Education and Science of the DPR Lyudmila Yakovenko, head of education department of Dokuchaievsk city administration Tamara Tyshchenko, the staff of the school, pupils and their parents participated in the action.

"Maslenitsa of is a festival of farewell to winter, a holiday of meeting of spring, a holiday of new hopes for the best. We have arrived to you today to support after heartrending experiences. You had to experience horror of firing, to endure what it is even terrible to mention, speaking about children … And today I wish you to believe in the best, to remain as strong as you are, to be diligent in learning. In our Donetsk People's Republic all will be good – we will win with you!", - Lidiya Gavrilova addressed herself to attendees. Acting Deputy Minister of Education and Science gave to children gifts: circus representation invitation cards and books arrived with humanitarian aid from the Russian Federation.

The holiday has proceeded with performance of children and traditional heroes of celebration. There was tug-of-war, round dance, games. A farewell to winter come to the end with Maslenitsa effigy burning.

"When parents were suggested to transfer their children to an other boarding school, they answered: "We don't leave our native boarding school. We overlived the 15th year, and now we will". Today parents took a part of pupils, but many of them are still there including three children from Volnovakha", – the director of Dokuchaievsk special general education boarding school No. 27 Elena Dubryanskaya said. She also stated that partially damages have been already repared so far: glasses in windows have been replaced.
