The forum was attended by representatives of ministries and departments of the Republic, scientific organizations, educational institutions of higher education, industrial enterprises of the DPR, as well as 50 delegations from the LPR and the Russian Federation – more than a thousand people. Scientists, teachers and students from the Republic of Belarus, Kazakhstan and Bulgaria took part in the event in absence.
The International Scientific Forum hosted a traditional exhibition of scientific and technical projects of students and young scientists of the DPR. About 60 participants of the exhibition, including research institutes, institutions of higher and secondary vocational education of the Republic, the Republican center of technical creativity and other institutions, presented practical projects highly demanded in various sectors of the national economy of the Republic.
The exhibits included the first training samples of 3D printers, an electric autonomously drifting car, models of walking robots, the frame of time dilation, the system of dispatching centralization Kalmius, the automation system of the chamber-heating furnace and many others.
According to the Deputy Minister of Education and Science of the DPR Viktor Varyukhin, Donbass has always been proud of its scientists and high scientific potential that has been preserved in today’s hard times, and now it is necessary to multiply and expand the possibilities of its implementation and promotion.
“We are currently analyzing the activities of our research teams of university, academic and branch science. We are looking upon the latest projects that can provide competitive products when introduced into our enterprises. I hope that the work of the forum will contribute to the solution of this problem, because the exchange of views, experience and the latest achievements plays a very important role,” Viktor Varyukhin said.
It should be noted that the forum hosted 25 themed events at sites of DonNU, DNMU, ADI DonNTU, Donetsk Railway Transport Institute, Gorlovka Institute for Foreign Languages, Donetsk Academy of Motor Transport, Donetsk Republican Minor Academy of Sciences, and Makeevka Research Institute for Mining Safety. Within the period of three days the participants discussed the objectives of the state policy in the field of scientific and technical development, talked about practical areas of scientific activity that will help to ensure further socio-economic development of the Republic, exchanged their experience with colleagues.
