Donbass law academy, created in 2015 at the initiative of the Head of the Republic and the Ministry of Education and Science, became the leading higher education institution of the Donetsk People's Republic on preparation highly professional legal personnel.

The rector of Academy Sergey Goncharov opened the festive event and stated that in 2018 DLA does not just celebrate the 3rd anniversary - it is already a professional holiday of the DPR - Donbass law academy creation Day.

Congratulating the audience, Sergey Goncharov said: "For three years we have been with you, we have been growing, moving forward. I can say that I am satisfied with this movement of Academy, all of us raise success bar above. 2017 is marked by communication with the European partners, coordination with Association of legal education of the Russian Federation was outlined. I also want to emphasize we were seen, heard, known in the world and this work resulted in the invitation of Academy to a legal forum of the countries of BRICS, the invitation to the ceremony of delivery of the highest award of the Russian Federation - the Lawyer of year, participation in many professional international conferences and forums. This is our law Academy international recognition".

The Minister of Education and Science Larisa Polyakova who was one of initiators and organizers of DLA also addressed staff and students of Academy words of congratulations: "Dear friends and dear colleagues! We have created this Academy almost from scratch, restored the destroyed buildings because the Republic need it. And in three years such breakthrough has been made, considerable success has been achieved. Donbass law academy is our Republican higher education institution because we need high quality lawyers. I am proud of the fact that I stood at the origins of creation of this higher education institution and I know that it has ahead a long and successful way".

At the holiday of the Donbass law academy there were some leaders of the Republic - the speaker of National Council of the Donetsk People's Republic Denis Pushilin, Chairman of the Supreme Court of the DPR Eduard Yakubovsky, other guests of honor who handed awards, diploma and certificates of acknowledgement to the best employees and teaching staff of DLA.

Donbass law academy was given congratulations on creation Day from Russian colleagues and partners and representatives of international legal public from Italy, France, Serbia who said that they pay a tribute of respect to work of Academy in difficult political and military conditions and sincerely wished to staff of academy courage, patience and wellbeing and further professional progress.
