The Minister of Education and Science of the Donetsk People's Republic Larisa Polyakova, having opened a competition, gave a welcome address to finalists.

"Dear friends! It might be possible to come to a class according to the schedule, to conduct a lesson according to the notes, it seems to be correct, but at the same time without soul. But I know what teachers of the Donetsk People's Republic will never act so. The real teacher, entering a class, forgets about their problems, they are "dissolved" in children. I am proud of teachers of our Republic. Whoever will take prizes, I know that each of you are Teacher with capital letter. I congratulate all of you and I wish success and health!" - Larisa Polyakova said.

Also, she emphasized that the competition which became traditional has symbolical value. "It is known that a lesson lasts 45 minutes. And during this time the teacher has to show their skills of communicating with children, giving knowledge, teaching the child. And, of course, the lesson is an art. It is symbiosis of pedagogics, education, training. Besides, the real teacher has to understand the child and in difficult situations always to put themselves in student's shoes", - the Minister stated.

In his turn, the rector of RIAPE Alexey Chernyshev reminded that the competition, which has been already held for the fourth time, becomes more and more mass and well-loved by teachers. "The competition shows to the whole world that the teacher of the Donetsk People's Republic is a patriotic teacher who makes a civil feat", - he stated. The deputy of National Council of the DPR, the Chairman of the Committee for education, science and culture Miroslav Rudenko congratulated finalists.

This year 26 teachers from general education organizations of various cities of Donetsk People's Republic reached the final of the Republican competition "45 minutes of fame", all school subjects were presented. On February, 12-13, teachers will present "business cards" and give master classes. Following the results of the contest 10 super finalists who will conduct on February 15 and 16 open lessons in unfamiliar audience, on the basis of municipal educational institution "Donetsk School № 2" will be defined (and subjects of lessons will be known only the day before). After that winners of the Republican contest will be named.
