Larisa Polyakova attended the Meeting of Snejnoye educational institutions search groups

On Friday, December 15, the Minister of Education and Science of the Donetsk People's Republic Larisa Polyakova, the deputy minister of youth, sport and tourism Alexey Yarosh, the deputy head of administration of the city of Snejnoye Rasheed Dubin, the head of department of education of city administration Irina Kiselyova and many others took part in the visiting meeting of Coordination council on patriotic education which took place in the city of Snejnoye.

Within the meeting the guests examined Snejnoye municipal educational institution No.9"Model local history museum "Memory" which dates from 1977 and consists of six halls: "Fighting glory", "Memory of Donbass defenders", "Ethnographies", "History of school", "Labor glory", "Room". The tours were conducted by pupils of school: they presented exhibits of the museum and told about collected materials.

In the hall devoted to history of school, the materials collected during work of Club of international friendship were presented to the attendees. "I was the chairman of CIF at the school from 5th till 10th forms ", - Larisa Polyakova mentioned and emphasized value of such activity and also importance of renewal of traditions.

After the sightseeing tour around the museum "Memory" the Meeting of search groups of educational institutions called "Unsubdued Generation of Invincible Ancestors" took place in the House of pupils and youth of Snejnoye.

Pupils of 15 schools of Snejnoye presented their results of laborious, hard and important work. Participants of the meeting told about a number of civil and patriotic education projects which had been implemented in institutions of education, conducted virtual tours in memorable places of the city, performed literary and musical compositions.

The audience got acquainted with work of the winner of the "My Small Homeland" project, results of the local history expedition "Donbass – my native land", the research project "History of One Street", heard compositions performed by winners of the competition of military patriotic song and poetry "We will devote fine soul’s longings to our homeland", saw Civic consciousness Lesson fragments "Heart is registered in Donbass".

Names of Heroes of the Soviet Union, whose memory is immortalized in the city Museum of Military Glory sounded from the stage. A number of compositions, such as "Under the flag of the Homeland" and "White cranes", devoted to the memory of soldiers died on fields of battles, were presented by the Model dancing art team "Drive". Pupils told about work on creation of the Museum room named after the journalist Andrey Stenin who died in Donbass in 2014, the research project "History of One Feat" devoted to children of war, recited author's poems which are placed in Republican "Book of memory: war through the eyes of children".

The event featured performances from leaders of the city Council of seniors, having noted enormous work on creation of a 152-meter St.George's Ribbon and told about participation of school students in ceremonial review and song competition "Soldier's marching song". Besides, it was mentioned that in Snejnoye work on creation of the chronicle of patriotic work is conducted and 11 museums and museum rooms are operating at the general education organizations.

"I am not worried about Snejnoye! Because here children are being learnt and brought up correctly, understanding value of the postulate that without past there is no future. Dear school students! I want you to involve as many as possible peers in your work. I thank all of you, teachers, parents for that enormous work", - the Minister of education and science Larisa Polyakova addressed herself to the participants of the event.

The deputy minister of youth, sport and tourism Alexey Yarosh, head of education department of city administration Irina Kiselyova, head of  youth, sport and tourism affairs department of city administration Larisa Volzhenskaya, chairman of city veterans council Alexander Levkovich, the prior of the temple of John the Evangelist father Valery also thanked pupils of the city of Snejnoye for their firmness, bravery, courage, creative activity, and persistent work of successors of the victory.
