Larisa Polyakova told about start of university admissions process in the Donetsk People's Republic

On Friday, June 23, the Minister of Education and Science of the DPR Larisa Polyakova briefing devoted to the beginning of university admissions process in the educational organizations of higher education took place.

Larisa Polyakova declared that the admissions process in EO HVE starts on Monday, June 26, in the educational organizations of secondary professional education on July 1. "The Ministry of Education and Science invites all entrants including living in Donbass territories temporarily under control of Ukraine to get the higher or secondary professional education in the Donetsk People's Republic. It will be recalled that there are detailed enrollment instructions for entrants, who will come to the educational organizations of the Republic within the Humanitarian program for reunification of the Donbass people. Entrants can study the list of the educational organizations, instructions and other useful information on pages of the special section of the official site of the Ministry of Education and Science of the DPR", the minister emphasized.

"Entrants from Donetsk region temporarily under control Ukraine can undergo the procedure of preliminary registration and provide necessary document scan copies into relevant higher education institutions. Required specified documents are submitted in Russian or Ukrainian.

Larisa Polyakova also told that in new academic year higher educational institutions of the DPR would be provided with the equipment necessary for expansion of out-of-class training system: "By the new academic year technical re-equipment of system of distance learning will be made in all higher educational institutions of the DPR participating in the Humanitarian program for reunification of the people of Donbass. The main attention will be paid to updating of server base which will ensure trouble-free operation of electronic educational resources. These measures will allow to satisfy in full the need for providing remote occupations from all students who for the objective reasons have difficulties with internal visit of educational institutions", - the minister stated.

Telling about an admissions process in SPE institutions, Larisa Polyakova placed emphasis that secondary professional education in the Republic is public therefore admission in the SPO educational institutions is carried out without examinations and without Certificates of a SFE.

Besides, the results of the State Final Examination which participants were not only residents of the Donetsk People's Republic, but also last years' graduates living in the territory of Donbass temporarily under control Ukraine were covered at the briefing.

"The number is small as due to implementation of the Humanitarian program for reunification of the Donbass people for persons who live in Donetsk region temporarily under control of Ukraine and received a nationally recognized certificate of general secondary education in Ukraine, the results of the External Independent Estimation (EIE) received in 2016 and 2017 are equated to the SFE ones.

Communicating with journalists, the Minister of Education and Science told also about the Ukrainian power tricks to attract children of Donbass in higher education institutions clones, unadapted for quality education, having mentioned that in the educational organizations of the DPR the material resources are kept, teaching is carried out by highly professional staff and the hostel is provided to nonresident students. Also Larisa Polyakova reminded that in the educational organizations of the secondary and higher education the number of the budgetary places has considerably increased.
