16.01.17

Today, on January 13, in the Donetsk News Agency the press conference devoted to the admissions campaign-2017 and issues of the State Final Examination took place.

The Minister of Education and Science of the DPR Larisa Polyakova, the Deputy Minister of Science and Education Irina Simonova, the Head of department of higher education Tatyana Denisova, the Head of department of secondary professional education Svetlana Danilchenko, the acting chief of Republican service on control and supervision in education and science Natalya Stovba participated in the press conference.

Larisa Polyakova opened a press conference:

- Today's press conference is devoted to very important issues. You will learn about the order of giving the State Final Examination according to educational programs of the secondary general education in the 11th form and according to educational programs of the main general education in the 9th form.

Besides, the procedure of holding end-of-year examinations for the studying 6-8th and 10th forms will be covered. Also we will stop on features of the admissions campaign-2017 in educational institutions of the secondary professional and higher education.

First of all, I want to note that the SFE purpose is determination of compliance of results of achieving by students of educational programs of the secondary general education to requirements of the educational standard of the secondary general education.  The main stage of registration has already begun; it passes from 10.01.2017 to 20.02.2017.

This year an obligatory subject for passing the SFE in the 11th form is Russian. It is deeply natural as Russian is native for most of residents of the Donetsk People's Republic. Besides, assimilation by students of all other objects to a large extent depends on the level of proficiency in it. Konstantin Ushinsky considered that the native language at school shall constitute "a main, central subject entering all other objects and collecting their results in itself ".

Examination in Russian will take place in form of exposition with a creative task. We hope that such a form will allow determining a real level of proficiency in language of school graduates.

As for examinations in the choice of the student, their quantity can't be less than 2 subjects and there can't be more than 3 subjects.

Graduates choose those objects which are profile for entering a higher education institution. Thus, the SFE is not only final, but also entrance examinations as the entrant shows the certificate confirming passing the SFE to the selection committee. We think that such a form is optimum for school graduates, saves both time and forces, and health of our children.

Obligatory objects for passing the SFE in the 9th form are Russian (dictation) and mathematics. Besides, it is provided one subject at the choice of the general education organization, according to the list of subjects which are submitted for the State Final Examination this academic year.

I want to emphasize that we implement a system of end-of-year examinations. They are taken by students of the 6-8th and 10th forms. It is known that in Soviet period end-of-year examinations were a regulation; they disciplined pupils and were an important link in getting strong knowledge. In general the education got at the Soviet school by right was considered as one of world-best, and today we aim to take all best of these traditions lost for the last decades, filling them up with new practices and ideas which are prompted by the time.

The major task is training personnel for all industries of the Donetsk People's Republic. We are doing everything in order the choice of future profession by young people to be conscious and oriented to labor market requests. With account of these factors the admissions campaign in organizations of the secondary and higher education is developed; today you will learn its details.
