The competition is held by Publishing Сouncil of Russian Orthodox Church with blessing of His Holiness Kirill Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia.  Рupils of 6-12 forms of comprehensive and orthodox schools, gymnasiums and colleges of Russia, the CIS countries and the abroad came into the contest.

More than 1200 works from school students from 61 regions of Russia as well as  Moldova, Ukraine, Belarus, Kazakhstan and the Donetsk People's Republic were admitted to the competition.

According to the results of assessment of Council of experts 39 finalists of the competition, 13 in each age group, were shortlisted among works gained the maximum number of points. The final stage of the competition will take place in Moscow on spring vacation, from March 25 to March 29.Participants of the final will be offered an interesting cultural program also they will be able to participate in master classes held by writers and will write total creative work. Rewarding of competition winners, by tradition, will take place in the Cathedral of Christ the Saviour.
