The action took place within implementation of the Republican social project "Memorial book: war through children's eyes", involving pupils of schools collecting information about events that residents of the Republic endured during military operations in 2014-2016. A main objective of the project is to keep historical memory of war in Donbass.

School students shared with the attendees their memoirs, told about feats of their fathers, about feelings which they have, about love to their native land, about desire of peace and happiness.

"Today children told us what they had endured during military operations, having shown all horror of war. The main sense of "Memorial book" is to prevent repeating it in the future, having provided insight into the situation here. Now schools of the Republic are making their Memorial Books which will be presented in May to the broader public", - the deputy minister of science and education of the Donetsk People's Republic Irina Simonova noted.

Let's remind that the social project within civil and patriotic education of school students "Memorial book: war through children's eyes" is being performed at the initiative of deputies of National Council of the DPR, with assistance of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Donetsk People's Republic.
