Young technicians of Shakhtyorsk have opened Week of science and technology

Annually young technicians of the Donetsk People's Republic celebrate Week of science and technology which is held from January 9 to January 14 for the purpose of identification and support of talented and exceptional children, development and stimulation of their creative abilities, further development and promoting of technical creativity among children and youth of the Donetsk People's Republic.

In establishment of additional education "Shakhtyorsk Station of young technicians" the ceremonial opening of Week of science and technology took place on Tuesday, January 10.

Pupils of "Carting", "Amateur photographers", "Origami" groups, skilled operators of the collective SUT UR4IZM radio station and the youngest technicians who are students of the Technical Modelling group came together for a celebratory assembly.

Participants of the lineup were acquainted with history of emergence of the Week of science and technology and the planned actions.

By tradition go-carters opened the Week with demonstration runs. Then teams of groups made a fascinating trip during the quest "A New Year's pun". They visited the stations "Snowflake", "Frosty" and "Snowy". On each of them children performed a complex of tasks, answered questions and guessing riddles. The team of the Origami group won, teams of the groups "Technical Modelling" and "Karting" became prize-winners.

Opening was spectacular, interesting, informative and cheerful, so that it has to be on winter holydays! Children are in for the city game program "Magic Christmas", the city stage of the Republican exhibition "Creativity of Young to Donbass" and the Republican Meeting of young technicians of the DPR which will take place on January 14.
