The guests got acquainted with the pupils’ housing conditions, had a look at the classrooms and dormitories. They also discussed sports news together with the football team, took part in the rehearsals of the creative workshop on the stage of the assembly hall. Gunnar and Richard wrote the message to the children on the blackboard in Room 3, and shared their impressions of visiting the memorial room and seeing interesting school life exhibits in the distinguished visitors’ book.
According to a good tradition, the guests were treated to pancakes and cookies, which were prepared by the pupils of the boarding school. The Germans presented sweet gifts to each child, as well as a gift to the boarding school. As a sign of gratitude and friendship the children in their turn presented the guests with the hand-made gifts and invited to visit them more often.
