According to the Order of the Head of the Republic Alexander Zakharchenko the comprehensive school No.4 received the new status – Republican general education institution "School No. 4 — Military School". This educational institution was created at the initiative of the head of the state, and its activity is under authority of the Ministry of Education and Science.

The Deputy Minister of Education and Science commented the opening of Military school. "Today we open a new educational institution of republican submission. The educational institution is unique, there is no similar one in our Republic. It combines comprehensive elementary school, which was here in the residential district, and particularly Military school in which training will be carried out from 5 to 11 forms", – Irina Simonova said.

One more unique feature is the fact that both boys and girls will study in Military school. The Deputy Minister of Education and Science emphasized that creation of the educational institution is connected with the concept of continuous education accepted in the Donetsk People's Republic. Republican lyceum boarding school with the strengthened military physical training of G.T. Beregovoy and Donetsk Higher All-Troops Command College needed an initial link of military preparation – military school.

The military school is an educational organization of the general secondary education. The pupils, besides the main school program, master the additional general education programs which are intended for training of minor citizens for military or other public service. Besides, future graduates of school will have privileges at admission in military and legal educational institutions – professional educational organizations of the Ministry of Defense, and girls – in the educational institutions connected with the medical field of education, which is under authority of the Ministry of Health.

The educational institution has already drawn to itself great attention of Donetsk and other cities of the Republic residents. Only for some last days about 40 people have come to school. In total the military school will be able to accept 220 pupils. "The idea enjoys such popularity that children are brought from all Republic", – Irina Simonova said.

The director of REI "School No.4 — Military School" Oksana Tselikovskaya told about innovations in educational institution. "Our educational institution is, first of all, a full day school – students of elementary school will study from 8:00 till 17:00, and senior cadets – from 8:00 till 19:00. At school children will get both general education, and additional for public servant training. A set of circles – from technical creativity to ballroom dances are for pupils of Military school ", – she reported.

The principal added that cadets are on public security. It assumes free granting regimentals to pupils, four-time nutrition, medical care. Programs of the primary general, main general, secondary general education with profound studying of separate objects and profile training of defensive and sports orientation are implemented in Military school. The fullness of classes doesn't exceed 20 people.
