The main objective of the forum is to analyze achievements and discuss the main SPE educational community problems and also determine the key directions of professional education system development in the DPR for 2017-2018 academic year.

Opening the action, the First Deputy Minister of Education and Science Mikhail Kushakov stated that carrying out forums of workers of an average and higher education within the August pedagogical conference of educators and science in anticipation of new academic year of became already traditional in the Republic. "We live today in a difficult period of time when military operations on our earth continue. And in these conditions, I would like to thank employees of secondary vocational education institutions who kept their staff, their vocational training and don't stop in their development. We understand that there are objective difficulties and subjective factors influencing development of secondary professional education and we see that everything possible is being done for preservation of system of training for our industry and also in order that as many as possible students to enter our technical schools. The leaders of the Republic make all efforts to strengthen economy, to create conditions for its development, and it, undoubtedly, will positively affect all system of secondary professional education", – Mikhail Kushakov said.

In this regard, he emphasized importance of interdepartmental interaction with the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Ministry of coal and power, the Ministry of Construction and Housing and Communal Services and other departments.

In her turn, the head of department of secondary professional education of the Ministry of Education and Science Svetlana Danilchenko commented on features of the forum's agenda. "Any changes in the education system depend on heads, on the way they organized educational process in the institutions. Today we gathered to analyze both our achievements and our problematic issues and also to plan the main directions which we will need to realize in the new academic year. We have to provide the Republic with professional personnel, experts being able to boost our state economy", – Svetlana Danilchenko said.

Besides, she emphasized positive growth dynamics of SPE students participation  in professional competitions, the international conferences that raises prestige of working professions at all levels.

The chairman of the board of directors of the SPO educational institutions, the director of SPEE "Donetsk Transport and Economic College" Yury Demura; director of the higher educational institution "Republican Institute of Postdegree Education of Engineering and Pedagogical Workers" Dmitry Alfimov; representatives of Republican job center and State and technical inspection also made a speech at the plenary session.

Work of the forum, which will finish on August 25, continued on sections: "Professional competence of the leading and pedagogical workers in the conditions of modernization of secondary professional education", "Students professional adaptation process management", "Scientific and methodical competence of pedagogical workers in the conditions of modernization of professional education", "Conflict management competence of employees of the SPE educational institutions", "Organization of safe educational environment in the SPE educational institutions". The leading, scientific and pedagogical employees of the SPE educational institutions, labor protection specialists are asked to participate in actions. Also 6 teachers of secondary professional education living in the territory of Donbass temporarily under control of Ukraine took part in work of the forum.
