The tournament will take place from February 3 to February 7 in Lomonosov Moscow State University. It is held by Faculty of Materials Science, Faculty of Chemistry of Lomonosov Moscow State University and the National center of continuous natural-science education.

The interregional chemical tournament is the competition among teams of 4-6 school students which takes place in two stages. The first stage is regional, held in presentia in various regions of the Russian Federation. Participants of the tournament defend their solutions with opposition and reviewing from competitor teams during the tournament. Winners of regional stages participate in the final stage. In 2016 regional stages were held in 35 regions of Russia.
