The traditional exhibition of scientific and technical developments of young scientists of Donbass opened on the main platform of the forum, at the Donetsk national technical university. The Head of the Republic Alexander Zakharchenko, the vice-chairman of Council of ministers, the minister of income and taxes Alexander Timofeev and other officials got acquainted with the presented exhibits.

In welcome speech to participants of the forum the head of the state stated that Donetsk region has always been famous for its inventors and scientists, and pointed to active participation in the action of talented youth.

The exhibition of young scientists' findings attracted a keen interest of participants and guests of the forum. The Deputy Minister of Education and Science, the chairman of the State committee on science and technologies of the DPR Alexander Anopriyenko commented on participation in the exhibition of pupils of Small academy of Sciences, the Donetsk republican center of technical creativity. "We see very interesting exhibits and we begin to work with youth, geniuses need to be raised", – he emphasized.

Besides, the Deputy Minister of Education and Science reported that during the forum the wide range of questions, connected with development of science, technologies, scientific and technical creativity in the Donetsk People's Republic would be considered.

In his turn, the rector of DonNTU Konstantin Marenich focused attention to relevance of the findings presented by higher education institutions: Donetsk national technical university, Donbass national academy of construction and architecture, Donetsk national university, Donetsk national university of economy and trade named after Mikhail Tugan-Baranovsky.

It is worth to be noted that the Donetsk republican center of technical creativity has presented more than 30 models and creative works of the studying various circles on an exhibition. Among developments of DonNTU there is an educational computer-aided engineering system of an electric part of stations and substations, an operating program complex on face recognition, bioreactor model for technological process of receiving biofuel from "Spiruline" microalga, an installation of automatic suppression of the fires on excavation transport vehicles, an installation for rescue of miners at accidents, the transformer of Tesla –  balanced output generator of high potential. Also, among the presented exhibits there is a manipulator robotic model (Institute of artificial intelligence problems), polymeric composite material (Donbass national academy of construction and architecture), the thermoanemometer "AIST-5.

Independent speed and temperature measuring instrument" (Donetsk national university), model of the thermal "Air-water" pump (Donetsk national university of economy and trade named after M. Tugan-Baranovsky) and many other developments.

The forum united more than one thousand participants, including guests from the Russian Federation, the Luhansk People's Republic. Heads of the ministries, organizations and institutions of the Republic participated in the plenary session.

In particular, the director of Institute of urgent and recovery surgery Emil Fistal made a report on the subject "Creation of the International cardiological center on the basis of the Donetsk Institute of urgent and recovery surgery named after V. Gusak". In her turn, the chairman of the Board of rectors of the DPR, the rector DonNU Svetlana Bespalova sudgested various directions of high school science development in the Republic. During the plenary session the vice rector for scientific work of DonNASA Vladimir Mushchanov informed on scientific ensuring and support of the construction and housing and communal services development program in the Republic.

The scientific forum will last till May 25. About 20 events of the international and republican levels on the basis of DonNTU and other educational and scientific organizations of the Donetsk People's Republic will be held at this time.
