The Chairman of the State committee on environmental policy and natural resources at the Head of the DPR Roman Kishkan presented the report "State environmental policy: the theory and practice". He presented strategic objectives and target programs of environmental policy, designated the priority directions such as: non-hazardous work of environmental pollution sources, processing of industrial and municipal wastes, protection of the wild nature.
Scientific bases of biological diversity territorial protection of the Donetsk People's Republic were presented by the head of department of natural flora and reserve management and studies of the Donetsk botanical garden, professor Vladimir Ostapko. The speaker emphasized that today work on creation of the Green book of Donbass is being carried out, materials for the Red List (on flora) of the Donetsk People's Republic are being prepared,
The report of the Chairman of the Committee of National Council for agriculture and land resources Oleg Glebov was devoted to problems of restoration of broken ecosystems productivity, the report tells about the concept of ecological network and development of system of specially protected natural sites in the Donetsk People's Republic.
Further, need of soil fertility monitoring organization in the Donetsk People's Republic was emphasized by the head of the laboratory of soil and ecological researches at the Donetsk botanical garden Dmitry Syshchikov.
