First of all, Larisa Polyakova congratulated the director of Donetsk botanical garden Svetlana Prikhodko on her anniversary and for long-term honest work handed the award pin "Honorary worker of science and technologies".

Also Larisa Polyakova wished happy birthday to the rector of Donetsk national technical university Konstantin Marenich.

Consideration of final reports on the research works of SI "Donetsk Botanical Garden" which were carried out on departmental subject (order) of the Ministry of Education and Science was the first question in the agenda.

"In 2016 we finished accomplishment of two important subjects. The first one is devoted to introduction of plants, each botanical garden of the world works on this subject. The task is collection with further implementation of plants in our region and their use. We managed to get good results. First, in our tough time collections are saved, now they contain more than 8 thousand types, forms and kinds. Work on their replenishment is going on, more than 300 types of plants, new to our region, have appeared recently. We are proud of the fact that collections were replenished with the new kinds removed by scientists-selectors of the Donetsk botanical garden.

The second subject is studying natural flora of Donetsk region. All of us know, how the nature of our country is cultivated, how steppes are opened. To keep those small sites of wildlife remained is our major task. We continue to study our flora, to recover it, to describe types new to science", - Svetlana Prikhodko told members of the media.

Also during the meeting of Council for science final reports on research works of SI "Reaktivelektron" research institute, performed on departmental subject (order) of the Ministry of Education and Science were considered. The report was made by the director of "Reaktivelektron" Vladimir Polishchuk.
