The speaker presented main scientific activities of the Center: participation of representatives of east people and nationalities in the Great Patriotic War on Donbass; peoples of the East in military and historical events since the most ancient times and up to now; problems of history, chronology and sources on history of the people of the Ancient East.  Mikhail Shvetsov also noted that Donetsk Center of Institute of oriental studies named after A. Krymsky has scientific contacts with scientists of a number of academic institutions of CIS countries  such as Institute of Oriental Studies RAS, Institute of Archeology RAS, V. I. Vernadsky Crimean Federal University, Southern Federal University, etc. The speaker told about participation of the Center in various conferences and seminars and presented a number of scientific works of employees.

During the meeting of Council for science final reports on the research works of Public Institution "Institute of physics of mountain processes" performed on departmental order of the Ministry of Education and Science were also considered.
