"Today the traditional annual conference, where each head of department will tell about the main thing made in a year, opens, - the director of institute Victor Varyukhin in communication with members of the media noted. – On the one hand, we acquaint scientific community of our institute, our region with those results which were received last year. On the other hand, it is an opportunity to learn what was made in other scientific divisions, to exchange experience".

According to Victor Varyukhin 2016, despite all difficulties, was very significant by its results. Basic researches useful to world science were carried out, new technologies, which can be successfully applied, were developed.  Interaction with scientific institutions, higher education institutions of the Russian Federation considerably increased, many staff members of the institute participated in conferences in Moscow, St. Petersburg, Rostov-on-Don, Simferopol.

"Our developments are applied practically in all fields of industry: coal, chemical, mechanical engineering. The institute is the leader among the CIS countries in the sphere of development of nanotechnologies, researches in the nanomaterials field on a wide range of materials are conducted here: ceramic, amorphous, metals, polymers", - the head of institute emphasized.

Some Russian scientists became guests of the conference. "Participation in the conference is my personal initiative. Donbass is in a very difficult situation now. I endured the Siege of Leningrad, from the first till last day, and I consider a duty to help people who got into a difficult situation. You have very high scientific potential", - Lyubov Myasnikova who arrived from St. Petersburg noted.

Reports on scientific and organizational activities of departments of physics of high pressures and perspective technologies; magnetic and resonant properties of a solid body; electronic properties of metals were considered on the first day of the conference. Next day reports will be made by heads of departments of the theory of electronic and kinetic properties of nonlinear systems; phase transformations; theories of dynamic properties of complex systems. And on February 9 the session of young scientists will take place, there will take place the session of the Academic council.
