The event was attended by Denis Pushilin, the Head of the Donetsk People’s Republic; Kazbek Taisaev, Deputy of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation; Evgeny Gorokhov, Minister of Education and Science of the DPR; Grigory Ignatenko, Rector of the DNMU; faculty and students of the University.
“I am glad to welcome the participants of the conference dedicated to the entry of Donetsk National Medical University into the Russian educational environment.
Last autumn Donetsk Medical University was accredited in the Russian Federation. This event became the starting point of a new era for the entire education system of the Donetsk People’s Republic.
There has been done a lot of preliminary work. The teaching staff of the University has made titanic efforts to ensure that our medical students are able to obtain Russian standard diplomas of higher education. This fact indicates that the Republic trains highly qualified medical personnel, highly demanded by our medical institutions.
Nowadays, the foreign policy of our state is aimed at a comprehensive and tight rapprochement with the Russian Federation. Representatives of almost all spheres of the Republic activity, public figures, state authorities, deputies, and volunteer associations participate in integration processes.
However, this is only the beginning – there is still more work to be done. We need to fully integrate the Republican education system into the educational senvironment of the Russian Federation. We therefore count on the productive and effective work of today’s conference.
Over the past six months since the accreditation, the staff of the University and the Ministry of Education and Science of the Donetsk People’s Republic has gained a lot of experience. We corrected our mistakes, prepared a road map for further integration, and developed positive steps for the intensification of the convergence processes of our educational institutions, cooperation between our universities. And today, we take another step on this path.
I wish a productive conference to all participants. We have an important and noble goal – to promote integration of the Donetsk People’s Republic educational institutions into the educational environment of the Russian Federation. I am convinced that we are able to cope with this task, and the experience of Donetsk National Medical University is the most vivid proof of that,” Denis Pushilin addressed the audience
In his speech, Deputy of the State Duma Kazbek Taisaev noted that Donetsk National Medical University is one of the best universities in Russia and Donbass and thanked the academic staff for the excellent training of students, and the Head of the Republic for the comprehensive support of the education system.
“Nothing can move forward if there is no support from the leadership. I want to thank Denis Vladimirovich for the huge amount of work he has been doing in general and, in particular, to support education and science,” the Russian parliamentarian said.
In addition, Kazbek Taisaev presented the Head of the DPR Denis Pushilin with Gratitude of the State Duma of the Russian Federation.
“We all are Russians, representatives of the Russian world. We are united by the common history, culture, faith and the great Victory,” the Deputy said.
The Rector of the University Grigory Ignatenko further made a report on the integration of DNMU into the educational environment of the Russian Federation.
At the end of the conference, the head of state stressed that Donetsk Medical University really provides a decent education, which is appreciated in the Russian Federation, and the task of the state is to do everything possible to create decent conditions for the work of the Republic doctors.
“There is still a lot of work to be done. We are proud of the students and teachers of the University. I hope that you will continue your journey to new victories and achievements at the same high level. And, of course, you can count on us in this regard,” Denis Pushilin said.
It should be reminded that in October 2018, M. Gorky Donetsk National Medical University passed state accreditation in the Russian Federation (order No. 1390 of the Federal Education and Science Supervisory Service of the Russian Federation, dated 10th October 2018). Yet, this is the only one University in the Donetsk People’s Republic successfully accredited in the Russian Federation, and it has the right to give graduates not only the diplomas of the DPR standard, but also the diplomas of the Russian standard, that allow to teach foreign students.
