The conference organized by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Donetsk People's Republic and Donetsk national university of economy and trade named after M. Tugan-Baranovsky took place in a teleconference form between Moscow, Donetsk and Rostov-on-Don.

The deputy of the State Duma of Federal Assembly of Russia of the VII convocation, Vice-chairman of the State Council of the Republic of Crimea, coordinator of Integration committee "Russia — Donbass" Andrey Kozenko took part in the conference; head of the economic block of Integration committee Yaroslav Tibekin; member of Integration committee, chief of staff of regional office of the All-Russian military patriotic social movement "Yunarmiya" of Vladimir region Pavel Grigoriev; Acting Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Luhansk People's Republic Anna Soroka; deputy of National Council of LPR Svetlana Gizay; vice rector for research of the Luhansk academy of internal affairs named after E.A. Didorenko Tatyana Kovalenko.

Scientists of institutions of higher professional education of the Donetsk People's Republic and the Russian Federation became conferees.

The Minister of Education and Science of the DPR Larisa Polyakova opened the action.

"Pereiaslav Treaty is one of the most important events of national history. It became that a rotary point which at last had connected the Russian people after long centuries of artificial division. Pereiaslav agreement is a major symbol of all our civilization. For this reason, for decades this event has been taking furious battering from fans to rewrite history. It obliges us not only to protect our historical memory, we have to make everything not to allow falsification of history which affects all stages of development of our people. And the main thing is our clear civic stand, our fight for the truth and reliability. The history is the same front, and we will win this opposition, we are sure of it!" - Larisa Polyakova said.

Andrey Kozenko congratulated conferees on the 364th anniversary of Pereiaslav Treaty. "Pereiaslav Treaty defined a vector of development of our great, strong, mighty state. Creation of Integration committee "Russia — Donbass" is also connected with this date. On January 18, 2017 its creation was initiated to combine our efforts on the most vital questions. Today it is necessary to talk about historical continuity. Donbass sets an example to other regions how to protect the Homeland, to unite and to stand on this position", - Andrey Kozenko noted.

During work of the conference the following subjects were discussed: "Liberating war under the leadership of Bogdan Khmelnytsky", "Historical value of Pereiaslav Treaty ", "Pereiaslav Treaty value in development of modern political processes".

The rector of MNEPU Academy Sergey Stepanov, the academician of RAS Mikhail Zalikhanov emphasized Importance of this historical event during the teleconference. Reports were made by such scientists as the deputy director of the Center of geopolitical examinations Natalya Makeeva, the director of the research Center of burning problems of the present of MNEPU Academy Alexander Derevyanchenko, doctor of historical sciences from Southern Federal University Vladimir Matveev and others. Speeches of scientists from Donetsk were made by the acting dean of department of history of Donetsk national university Oksana Penkova, acting head of the department of political science DonNU Artem Bobrovsky and others.

In conclusion the First Deputy Minister of Education and Science of the DPR Mikhail Kushakov thanked all participants for live discussion of so significant subject and expressed confidence that cooperation of scientists of the DPR and the Russian Federation on topical issues of history will develop further.

The resolution in which it is decided to assist dissemination of scientific information on historical conditions and consequences of signing of Pereiaslav Treaty for the Russian World in general and the population of Donbass in particular was adopted on the results of the conference.
