At the official opening there was the Head of the DPR Alexander Zakharchenko, the vice-chairman of Council of ministers of the DPR Dmitry Trapeznikov, the Minister of Education and Science of the DPR Larisa Polyakova, the acting head of administration of the city of Makeevka Valery Lyakhovets.

By tradition, the head of the Republic cut the red ribbon and met the management, teachers and students of the Republic's first agricultural higher education institution.

"Having been closely engaged in agriculture, we have faced the shortage of qualified specialists. So, we made the decision to create this higher education institution. One and a half months passed from the moment of decision-making till today. Huge work has been done", - Alexander Zakharchenko said. The Head of the Republic stated an important role in creation of academy of the vice-chairman of Council of ministers of the DPR Dmitry Trapeznikov and the Minister of Education and Science of the DPR Larisa Polyakova and also thanked all who had been involved in this case.

"Dear children, you have enrolled one of the best higher education institutions of the DPR, and the most important thing that you will have the most important profession", - Alexander Zakharchenko addressed himself to the first-year students and handed some of them student ID cards.

In his turn Dmitry Trapeznikov congratulated students and the faculty on the beginning of academic year, having stated that today in the Republic special attention is paid to agroindustrial complex and agriculture. "We will develop further infrastructure of academy and we will reach such level that it will become the best in the former Soviet Union", - the vice-chairman of Council of ministers of the DPR assured.

"In Donbass agrarian academy 319 students will begin training, but we continue admission process because the number of persons interested to receive a demanded profession increases. Development of agroindustrial complex is in priority today and we have to prepare the stuff", - Larisa Polyakova informed, having stated that "Donbass agrarian academy" continues admission process in the following directions of preparation: gardening, agronomics, agrochemistry and agrology, veterinary science.

The acting head of administration of the city of Makeevka Valery Lyakhovets emphasized that residents of Makееvka are proud that the higher education institution specializing in training of future landowners and livestock specialists begins operating in their city. The acting rector of new higher education institution Vitaly Veretennikov stated that thanks to initiative and support of the Head of the DPR hundreds of young people could choose  a profession after their own hart, and teachers could devote themselves to their favourite business. "On behalf of all staff of the Donbass agrarian academy we assure that we will do our best in order the academy to be the best one in the Republic and beyond its limits", - Vitaly Veretennikov said.
