More than 90 students from the leading electrotechnical and electrical power higher education institutions of Russia and neighboring countries took part there. Students team of Donetsk national technical university's electrotechnical faculty consisting of Daniil Shamrin, Taras Shevchenko, Alexey Labeev, Ilya Dovgopolik and student of Donetsk institute of railway transport Pavel Baryshnikov took part in these Olympics on Skype. Donetsk students participated in its opening, being in an office of the 8th educational building of DonNTU, then started doing tasks received by e-mail under control of associate professors of electrical engineering and TFE department of Technical University Valentin Antamonov and Alexander Koroshchenko. The works of students were scanned and sent by e-mail in ISPU to be checked. Not only correctness, but also creative approach to solution of tasks were estimated.

By results of the Olympics Daniil Shamrin took the third prize in personal offset. In a team competition Donetsk students were the fourth among 17 higher education institutions.
