"Entrants of the Donetsk People's Republic can go to Russian universities in accordance with general practice, on a competitive basis and apply for state-financed openings an equal basis with the Russian citizens", - Larisa Polyakova answered to the question concerning admission of school students of the DPR in educational institutions of the Russian Federation.
Covering the subject of cooperation of the DPR educational organizations of higher education with foreign higher education institutions, the Minister provided official data: "Only for 2016 65 memorandums of cooperation with foreign higher education institutions were signed. The total quantity of the international scientific conferences held by educational institutions of higher education of the Donetsk People's Republic and also with their participation constituted 481 in 2016. A total quantity of all forums where participated organizations of higher education of the Donetsk People's Republic, made up 48 in 2016. For 2016 the DPR educational institutions of higher education took part in more than 70 joint scientific projects with various educational and scientific organizations of near and far-abroad countries; participated in 23 grant programs. For 2016 the total quantity of students and graduate students according to the program of their exchange with foreign educational institutions of higher education constituted 127 people. According to the program of exchange of teachers from January to October, 2016 the total quantity of teachers constituted 69 people, for the same period 150 teachers of the DPR participated in training program abroad".
Larisa Polyakova emphasized that thanks to cooperation with the Russian Federation scientists and specialists of the Republic become more and more demanded, professional relations are strengthened that accelerates process of integration into educational and scientific space of the Russian Federation and revives the Russian identity.
"Foreign students from the Russian Federation, Belarus, Georgia, Azerbaijan and other countries get education in the Republic", - the Minister noted.
Larisa Polyakova also shared DPR MES plans: "In the near term, first of all, it is a reform of the general education and further strategizing of education in the DPR. The second one is approval of a package of measures to enhance state policy in the field of development, protection and supports of the Russian language. The third issue is development and strengthening of cooperation in education and science with the Republic South Ossetia, the Republic of Abkhazia and other friendly countries. Besides, we find it important to continue involving public and expert communities in discussion of issues of science and education, developing modern system of quality evaluation of education and, of course, fully supporting talented children and students".
