The V International Scientific Conference “Donetsk Readings 2020” started in the capital of the Republic

The V International Scientific Conference “Donetsk Readings 2020: Education, Science, Innovation, Culture and Modern Challenges” started in the distance format on November 17 on the basis of the Donetsk National University.

The Head of the Donetsk People’s Republic Denis Pushilin addressed the conference participants with a welcoming speech.

“Dear participants of the V International Scientific Conference “Donetsk Readings 2020: Education, Science, Innovation, Culture and Modern Challenges!” I congratulate you on the beginning of the conference! I hope that it will be successful and fruitful and bring actual results for the socio-economic and cultural development of the Republic. “Donetsk Readings” is one of the largest scientific forums in the Republic both in terms of coverage of scientific areas and problems, and in the number of participants. More than 1600 reports will be presented at the conference and there are over 250 doctors of sciences among the speakers.

In 2018-2019, the conference was held within the framework of the International Integration Forum “Russian World and Donbass: from Cooperation to Integration of Education, Science, Innovation and Culture”. This practice testifies to the steady expansion of areas of cooperation, creative interaction and scientific exchanges of scientists and teachers of the Donetsk People’s Republic with the scientific and educational community of the Russian Federation.

Creative contacts with scientists from other foreign countries become more intensive and productive. Over the years of the conference, scientists from more than 15 countries of the world took part in its events.

This international scientific conference is an opportunity to assess at a high level the fundamental and applied science of the Republic, its high potential.

I would like to express my gratitude to the organizers and participants of the conference, wish productive work, success in solving urgent problems and new achievements!” – noted Denis Pushilin.

The forum participants were greeted by Mikhail Kushakov, the Minister of Education and Science of the Donetsk People’s Republic.

“Dear Colleagues! Today I am especially pleased to congratulate everyone on the fact that the “Donetsk Readings”, despite the difficulties associated with the pandemic, has taken place! We will continue to pay great attention to the development of science in our state, especially since we always feel the support of the Head of the Donetsk People’s Republic, the Government and the legislative branch.

We will continue working on training highly qualified personnel who will join the economic and social life of the Republic. Science and scientific discoveries are the integral part of the development of the State.

The fact that the “Donetsk Readings” are becoming more and more widespread, the number of states taking part in them is increasing, reports and speeches are becoming more meaningful is inspiring.

"I would like to wish the conference participants health, new creative contacts so that we can continue to popularize the scientific achievements of the Donetsk People’s Republic to promote the development of its economy, social sphere and, of course, education, to which all of us, the conference participants, have dedicated our lives! " - emphasized Mikhail Kushakov.

The Chairman of the People’s Council of the Donetsk People’s Republic Vladimir Bidyovka noted the importance of the international forum. “Holding such large-scale special conferences as Donetsk Readings enables not only exchanging experience, but also making discoveries in the future, which will positively effect on the development of the entire state”, – he said.

Sergey Baburin, the Chairman of the International Slavic Council, President of the International Slavic Academy of Sciences, Education, Arts and Culture, scientific director of the Center for Integration and Civilizational Studies of the Institute of State and Law of the Russian Academy of Sciences (Moscow) also wished success in the work of the conference to its participants.

Rector of Donetsk National University Svetlana Bespalova, addressing the scientists, noted that there will be 67 sections within the framework of the forum on the various scientific areas – from fundamental mathematics and digital computer technologies to problems in the field of culture and art.

The conference was opened by the rector of the Sevastopol State University Vladimir Nechaev, the rector of the Alexander Tibilov South Ossetian State University Vadim Tedeev and the Vice-Rector of Sergei Yesenin Ryazan State University Oksana Isaeva.

Svetlana Bespalova began the plenary meeting with her report “Mission of the Donetsk National University as a backbone supporting university of the Donetsk People’s Republic”.

The V International Scientific Conference “Donetsk Readings 2020: Education, Science, Innovation, Culture and Contemporary Challenges” will be held on November 17-18.
