The event was attended by the Head of the Donetsk People’s Republic Denis Pushilin, Chairman of the People’s Council Vladimir Bidyovka, Minister of Education and Science Mikhail Kushakov, Chairman of the Trade Union of Education and Science Workers Asya Gorshkova, heads of ministries and departments, representatives of the pedagogical community and scientific sphere of the Republic.
The head of the state thanked the teachers for helping the younger generation shape their worldviews and eliciting their potentials. He also emphasized the teachers’ great effort in supporting gifted children. Denis Vladimirovich noted as well that our country has a high level of education, with the state accreditation in the Russian Federation being one of the proofs, which four educational institutions of higher professional education have received today. He also mentioned the results of integration processes in the past school year. “The results of integration processes with the Russian Federation in the educational and science field are the most obvious. About one thousand representatives of the teaching staff took part in international scientific events and about 500 representatives of the education sector completed internships in Russia,” the Head of the state accented.
Teachers and scientists were granted high national awards for their work, which were presented by Denis Pushilin. They were awarded with the Order for Merit to the Republic, the Medal for Labour Valour and the Badge of Honoured Teacher of the Donetsk People’s Republic.
The participants of the celebration were congratulated by the Chairman of the People’s Council of the Donetsk People’s Republic Vladimir Bidyovka.
“Educating the younger generation has always been and will be highly appreciated. You educate the youth; give them not only your knowledge, but also part of your best personal qualities. This allows our children to become worthy people who love their land, their Motherland. Thank you for your work, for the future of our state, for it is in your hands,” said Vladimir Anatolyevich. Thirteen educators were awarded with The Gratitude of the Chairman of the People’s Council of the DPR.
The teachers were warmly greeted by the Minister of Education and Science of the DPR Mikhail Kushakov. “Being a teacher is a true vocation, because teachers devote their entire souls, knowledge and warm hearts to children’s upbringing and education. All parents try to give their children in the best, most reliable hands, so that they grow up as worthy people and citizens of their Fatherland. Their trust is an assessment of our work. This year, 4 thousand more children came to schools than last year. This shows that we are trusted, and we will have even more work to do, in which we should be fully committed. I congratulate all the teachers of the Donetsk People’s Republic on the professional holiday, I wish health, prosperity, good luck, optimism and peace,” Mikhail Kushakov wished the representatives of the pedagogical community.
During the celebration, the Minister handed the best teachers the Badge of Excellence in Education of the Donetsk People’s Republic, the Badge of Honorary Worker of Education of the Donetsk People’s Republic, and a number of scientists were awarded the Badge of Honorary Worker of Science and Technology of the Donetsk People’s Republic.
“The work of a teacher is an everyday deed. I wish you all to succeed and may love of your beloved, relatives and students light up your every day,” said the Chairman of the Trade Union of education and science workers of the DPR Asya Gorshkova. She handed departmental awards. More than 50 workers in the field of education and science were awarded during the ceremony as a whole.
The performance of the teams of the Additional Education Institutions showed how talented children in the Republic are. The presence of professional artists also added to the festive mood.
