According to Vasiliy Vasiliyev, the Director of the Department of Business Administration and Economic Security at the Ministry of Education and Science of the Donetsk People’s Republic, it had become possible due to the full support of the DPR government. “I want to reiterate our immense gratitude to Vladimir Nikolayevich Antonov, the Deputy Prime Minister of the Donetsk People’s Republic, who has personally dealt with the matter. The buses are diesel ones, very comfortable, with all necessary technical characteristics for the safe transportation of children,” noted the Director of the Department.
Yekaterina Otyrko, a representative of the Department of Education in Novoazovsk Raion, noted that the old bus that had brought children to the local comprehensive education establishment “Samoilovo School” had been used since 2003. Thus, its replacement was much needed. “With 118 people studying here, this school is quite big for our countryside. Children from the villages of Klinkino, Vaniushkino, Shcherbak and Markino take classes here,” pointed out Yekaterina Otyrko. “It is a huge gift for all of us – representatives of the Education Department, parents and children.”
The bus does not just bring children to school – the route has become a binding thread for the villagers, the one which connects the hearts.
