Communist Yaromir Vashek, chairman of the Society of Friends of the LPR and the DPR, gave the keynote address.

Yaromir Vashek is a long-time friend of the DPR; he has been to the Republic for five times; there he repeatedly visited schools in the frontline areas of Donetsk and Gorlovka, made topical reports on the life of schoolchildren from the scene. His publications about children of the DPR and the LPR and his speeches against the war, in support of the people of Donbass, help to convey truthful information to the citizens of the European states.

In addition, the organizers of the meeting read letters of young residents of the Donetsk People’s Republic with a request for help addressed to the world community. Milada Sigmundová, a member of the Society of Friends of the LPR and the DPR and the Left Perspective, read out a letter from Yulia Tkacheva, a 10th grade school student from Donetsk. A member of the Left Perspective movement Nikola Čech, the Deputy Chairman of the Society of Friends of the LPR and DPR, read out the letter of Katya Fomkina from Gorlovka.

The demonstrators, who came with flags of the LPR, DPR, Novorossia, the Young Communist League, the Left Perspective movement and the Czech World Movement, also brought a photo of the first head of the DPR Alexander Zakharchenko. In conclusion, all participants of the demonstration observed a minute of silence in honour of the Odessa victims, all the victims of the civil war in Donbass and expressed their conviction that people of the DPR and LPR should and will live in peace.
