More than one thousand people, including 10 – from the Russian Federation, 97 – from territories of Donbass temporarily under control of Ukraine (some of them study in institutions of education of the Republic) have participated in the large-scale action organized by the Ministry of Education and Science with public organization "Young Republic" which has taken place in "Shakhtar Plaza" hotel complex.

The head of the Central executive committee of SM "Donetsk Republic" Natalya Volkova who opened a festival read the congratulatory address from the Head of the DPR Alexander Zakharchenko in whom the Head of the Republic congratulated participants of the festival on Students' Day and expressed confidence that the youth will be able to gather a lot of useful things of this action, share projects, discuss the prospects of development of Donbass.

Heads of the ministries and departments of the Republic and other officials also participated in the festival.

the Minister of Education and Science of the DPR Larisa Polyakova told members of the media about the program of the festival, bright actions which will take place in three directions: creativity, science and sport.

"Within the festival there will take place various competitions, including four competitions today with prize fund which makes 125 thousand rubles for each one. Within the direction "Movement" competitions in different types of sport, master classes of world sport stars are planned. In the "Science" direction there will take place scientific discussions, presentation of speakers in the TED format. In the third direction, "Creativity", there will take place a festival of youth clips on the subject "Reunification of the People of Donbass", presentation of student theaters of pop sketches (STPS). Various exhibitions are also working", - Larisa Polyakova emphasized.

Students of educational institutions of the higher and secondary professional education, young scientists and teachers, student's on-stage performance groups, sports national teams and school students, who are participants of "Infoschool" project, took part in the festival.

"Here is youth which is interested in sport, science, volunteer activity. Today young people will be able to communicate at discussion platforms to heads of the ministries and departments of the Republic, representatives of business, to ask the questions they are interested in", - the head of SM "Young Republic" Nikita Kiosev noted.

The head of Donbass Single Combats Association Roman Troshin reported about work of the sports platform: "At the festival the "Sport" platform is presented by our organization. Today 8 sports federations are going to be presented to SС "Spartak" such as karate, judo, fighting sambo and many others. The best athletes and trainers of the Donetsk People's Republic are going to give master classes", - Roman Troshin noted.

The activist of a public organization from the Russian Federation Daniil told about the purpose of a visit of delegation of Russia on the Festival of youth of Donbass.

"We have been communicating with children from "Young Republic" for a long time. They come to us on various actions. We couldn't miss today's festival. We were invited in order to exchange experience, learn something new. We have seen that in Donetsk active young people are ready to change a lot of things around themselves. I expect that we will be able to find common ways of interaction within the scientific platform, to think up new formats and actions for work with youth", - he noted.

The student from Kramatorsk told about his arrival purpose at the festival. "I am engaged in graffiti therefore I arrived to Donetsk to take part in painting of a picture with my guys. It is not my first arrival to Donetsk, I have many acquaintances here. Such actions as a festival help to rally youth. I think that it is necessary to meet friends and acquaintances from different cities and the countries", - Ivan considers.

The festival gave the chance to everyone to realize their potential, to find that direction which is to their taste. There were various platforms, student's science achievements exhibitions, painting and photoworks, graffiti and graphic design.

The action come to the end with an awards ceremony. Larisa Polyakova handed certificates to the festival participants, who took the first, second and third places in the following competitions: graffiti, design, hip-hop and breakdance. The certificate for the first place is 60 thousand rubles, the second one is 45 thousand, the third one is 20 thousand. Students from the territory to temporarily under control Ukraine of Donbass are among winners.

In conclusion Larisa Polyakova wished students success, love, inspiration, realization of their abilities. Participants of the festival expressed unanimous opinion: such action has to take place annually.
