These days the thematic actions directed to civil and patriotic education of the younger generation have been taking place in the educational organizations of the DPR. Pupils are acquainted with holiday history, symbolics of the state.

It will be recalled that the flag of the Donetsk People's Republic represents a panel of three colours: black, blue, red. The black color symbolizes fertile lands and coal of Donbass, the blue one – spirit of the people and  the Azov Sea water, and the red colour - blood shed for freedom of the people. A two-headed eagle with a coat of arms with the image the Archistratigus Michael is in the center.

The country flag as the state symbol is essential for patriotic education, feeling of blood and moral integrity with the people who have protected its sovereignty. He connects life of each citizen with the fate of the country and is of great importance in international relations.
