The Minister of Education and Science Larisa Polyakova addressed a welcome speech to the participants and guests of the event. "The Ministry of Education and Science of the Donetsk People's Republic hosts with great pleasure the II International competition of young performers in this hall, treats musical art, music education with great respect. We wish all the participants success, successful performances, to dear jury – force and fair solutions", – she wished.

Also the minister stated that among participants of the competition there are representatives of the Donetsk and Luhansk People's Republics, the Russian Federation, Germany, Italy, France, five people from Ukraine. "All our actions can be considered as a part of the Humanitarian program for reunification of the people of Donbass as we invite all interested people. Donbass has always been famous for high education level, as well as musical one. Many professional actors who studied in educational institutions of Donbass are world stars now", – Larisa Polyakova reminded.

Besides, she pointed out the value of the competition for education development. "One of organizers is the Donetsk teacher training college where at the faculty of musical pedagogics future the music teachers study therefore the value of such competition is high as vocational training ", – the minister emphasized.

The artistic director of the competition, candidate of art criticism, associate professor of music pedagogical education department of DonPI Victoria Goncharova focused attention on the increasing interest in the action. "The organizing committee has 166 applications, it means about 180 participants. This is three times more than it was last year. This is good news that our partners are interested in the competition. This time we are supported by Donetsk Higher All-Troops Command College and the International public fund "Viva Music" which will provide to the winners invitations and certificates for participation in the international projects in the Republic of Tatarstan, Montenegro and the USA", – Victoria Goncharova said.

It will be recalled that the competition lasts till October 27. The jury is headed by the winner of the international competitions, associate professor of musical faculty of the Moscow pedagogical state university's the institute of art Sergey Bulatov.
