This year active and creative youth forces consolidation platform has brought together about 1 000 young people who are representatives of more than 25 regions of the Russian Federation, the Donetsk People's Republic, Kazakhstan, Moldova, Iran.

Work of the forum was organized in the thematic directions: the economy, policy, media, ecology, creativity, patriotism. Within these directions Russian and foreign experts met youth, there were round tables, discussions, actions, business games, master classes.

The main subjects on the patriotic platform were: culture and traditions in development and formation of the Russian statehood, maintaining self-identity of the Russian people in the conditions of formation of information society, sense of the concept "patriotism".

Representatives of regional office "Search movement of Russia" told participants of the forum about feats of the Soviet people during the Great Patriotic War, about the war in Afghanistan, in the Donetsk and Luhansk People's Republics and also about collaboration of various public organizations in the field of patriotic education of youth and perpetuating of memory of the dead at protection of the Fatherland. Besides, the photo exhibition "We Are Faithful to This Memory", military exhibits and copies of state awards of times of the Great Patriotic War were presented to young people.

Participants of the "Creativity" direction were told about ways of formation of team, event-management, emotional intelligence and other business aspects of art.

Young journalists learned about new PR techniques for media and information portals, received recommendations for independent studying of modern literature.

Lectures on eco-marketing, eco-friendly management and creation of commercial brands on the basis of the "green" ideas were attended by participants of the Ecology direction.

It is worth to remind that 18 students and young scientists of educational institutions of higher education have participated in the X International youth educational forum "Selias-2017" organized by agency for Youth Affairs of the Astrakhan region with assistance of the Government of the Astrakhan region and Federal Agency for Youth Affairs. They are from DonNU, DonNTU, Tougan-Baranovsky DonNUET, DonPI.
