According to the head of the profile ministry in the DPR in total 1 210 educational institutions of various education levels, where 239 155 children will study, will get to work of in 2017-2018 academic year.
In particular, 542 institutions, where 54 949 children get preschool education, realize programs of preschool education. "For satisfaction of demand of the population in receiving preschool education in 2017-2018 academic year over 50 groups in preschool educational institutions of the cities and areas are planned to be opened", – the minister stated.
The student population in 485 educational organizations of the general secondary education as of August 24 makes 142 100 people, 15 157of them are first graders. "This figure will change and on September 5 the number of first graders this academic year will be precisely known", – Larisa Polyakova specified.
Also in 25 educational organizations of vocational education of the Donetsk People's Republic 2 444 persons will start their training.
In the sphere of secondary professional education last academic year 105 educational institutions in various training programs worked: 50 technical schools and colleges, 50 professional lyceums and schools and 5 training centers on training personnel from among convicts. In these educational institutions the student population of intramural form of study made 25 975 people. More than 180 applications from the entrants living in the territory of Donetsk region, temporarily under control of Ukraine are submitted within the Humanitarian program for reunification of the Donbass people. "Now the university admissions process in educational institutions of secondary professional education is still going on. This process will end on September 30. Everyone willing receive a profession or secondary professional education, an associate's degree are welcome to secondary vocational education institutions", – the head of the Ministry of Education and Science of the DPR invited.
