DPR and Abkhazia concluded Memorandum of cooperation in the fields of education and sciences

On Wednesday, June 14, in Sukhum the Minister of Education and Science of the Donetsk People's Republic Larisa Polyakova and the Minister of Education and Science of the Republic of Abkhazia Adgur Kakoba signed the interdepartmental Memorandum of cooperation in the fields of education and sciences.

Main objective of the document is expansion of cooperation on the basic directions in education and sciences, through further agreements between educational and scientific institutions, students exchange programs implementation, and also training of pedagogical staff and scientists. Besides, the document provides exchange of books, scientific periodicals and also other information materials concerning educational and scientific activity.

According to the Minister of Education and Science of the DPR, implementation of the Memorandum will allow to develop partner relationship in educational and scientific space of the Donetsk People's Republic and Republic of Abkhazia. "It is a significant step ahead on the way of our bilateral cooperation, and that is just the beginning. It is very symbolical that education and science sphere is becoming one of the main directions of development of friendship of the people of Donbass and Abkhazia. We are sincerely glad to see deep interest of our Abkhazian colleagues in implementation of promotion of joint humanitarian projects in all key educational and scientific directions: from preschool education to supreme attestation", – Larisa Polyakova emphasized.
