"Our children will grow healthy, strong and smart. Putting all forces and pedagogical talent in training, we increase the of culture, knowledge and safety level from the cradle. The civil defense subsystem covers all the education and science field and these are 1263 educational organizations, more than 260 thousand students and up to 100 thousand of personnel. Our main objective is training and a methodical management in health and safety. Last year about 200 thousand pupils were trained. A special role is played by advanced training of employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations who undergo retraining both in profile institutions and on the corresponding courses all around the Republic.

Such disciplines as "Civil defense" and "Health and safety" are taught in all educational institutions of all levels", - the Minister emphasized.

Larisa Polyakova told that in 2016 1075 organizations participated in the actions devoted to the Day of civil defense and Week of health and safety including such games as "Summer lightning", "Dawn", competitions of teams of young rescuers, etc.

"Activities in the educational organizations of the Republic go in close cooperation with other ministries and departments", – the Minister told.

Larisa Polyakova appreciated high professionalism and responsibility of teachers which carried out all tasks within the civil defense subsystem in 2016 and suggested to make educational process on CD remote and more operational, and also to review educational programs aiming to improve quality. Besides, the Minister of Education and Science presented the prospects of creation of a employee pool of the Ministry of Emergency Situations veterans to do information work with pupils.

The Minister of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the DPR, the Chairman of State commission on the prevention and liquidation of emergency situations and ensuring fire safety Alexey Kostrubitsky summed up the results of civil defense and the state system of the prevention and liquidation of emergency situations work.

Activities of the Ministry of Emergency Situations in the sphere of civil defense and protection of the population were also clarified. Alexey Kostrubitsky noted that practically all cities and districts of the Republic had approved special work plans of territorial subsystems of civil defense, having paid special attention on emergency of the population preparation, increase of awareness in  effective emergency response.

The minister of the Ministry of Emergency Situations emphasized that today in the educational organizations of the Republic, both in profile educational institutions, and at comprehensive schools, organizations of secondary and higher education, the system of actions for the purpose of enhancement of the organization of system of civil defense, increase in knowledge of all categories of the population of an operations procedure for the prevention of emergency situations, etc. is being carried out.

The Minister of the Ministry of Emergency Situations Alexey Kostrubitsky thanked the Ministry of Education and Science for the done work and noted outstanding performance of actions.

Also the Minister of Education and Science Larisa Polyakova was rewarded with a departmental award - the medal "For Assistance to Salvation", the chief specialist of labor protection department of administration and economic providing department of MON DPR Andrey Zhivov gained the letter of the Ministry of Emergency Situations.
