Delegation of the Donetsk People's Republic has participated in the International historical conference in Moscow

Opening of the International scientific and practical conference "Nuremberg trials — Historical Lessons and Modern Realities" which takes place on February 6-7 in Moscow (Russian Federation) took place.

Organizers of the conference –  Academy IIEPU (International Independent Ecological-Political University), Donetsk national technical university with assistance of Russian Military and Historical Society (RMHS), the Central Museum of the Great Patriotic War, community of experts "Izborsky club".

The First Deputy Minister of Education and Science of the DPR Mikhail Kushakov, the rector of Academy IIEPU Sergey Stepanov, the rector of Donetsk national technical university Konstantin Marenich, the deputy of the State Duma of the Russian Federation Evgeny Fedorov, the deputy of National Council of the DPR Sergey Rubin participated in the press conference devoted to the scientific practical action.

"We thank our friendly university for warm welcome, for organization of such large-scale, significant action. Holding a similar conference gives the chance to convey true information to the whole world about what is happening in our country. It is huge contribution to the common cause", - the First Deputy Minister of Education and Science of the DPR Mikhail Kushakov noted.

The rector of the Donetsk national technical university Konstantin Marenich emphasized that crimes of the Kiev regime shall be accurately systematized and they shall be given the world community adequate legal treatment.

"We have no right to forget key historical milestones as it inevitably leads to a large-scale catastrophic crash, both political and economic, social, etc.", - the rector of Academy IIEPU  Sergey Stepanov summed up.

The main objective of this conference is to consider actualization problems of the International trial over Nazi criminals and heads of Hitlerite Germany (The Nuremberg trials of the 1945-1946) judgments confirmed by the United Nations General Assembly on December 11, 1946, contributing progressive development of international law and legal control of offenses against the world and safety of mankind.

It should be noted that this subject became especially urgent today, in connection with tragic events in the territory of the Donetsk and Luhansk People's Republics.

Among conferees there are teachers, graduate students, students of higher education institutions, representatives of scientific community from Moscow, Donetsk, Volgograd, Sevastopol, Belgrade.

At the conference the following problem and thematic blocks will be considered: history of preparation and carrying out the Nuremberg trials; development of the international institute of responsibility of legal entities for violation of the international standards on health and safety; principle of non-use of force in the international relations and the right to self-defense; historical and political estimates of "humanitarian" intervention; problems of the humanitarian plan in the light of the international conflicts in the Middle East, the Balkans and in the former Soviet Union; realisation problems of the General Assembly resolutions "Fight against glorification of Nazism, neo-Nazism and other types of practice which contribute escalation of modern forms of racism, racial discrimination, xenophobia and the related intolerance"; unresolved questions of the Nuremberg trials and their consequence in the modern world.
